To measure and compare volume of liquid using standard units millilitres (ml) and (l).
Materials:
1. Various everyday containers, foe example cups, glasses, jugs, spoons.
2. A 500 millilitre (ml) and litre (l) measuring cylinders (or other suitable measuring cylinder available).
Procedures.
1. Divide the class into groups of four students and have them work in their cooperative groups.
2. Appoint one student in the group to be the recorder.
3. Give each group a set of containers of different sizes.
4. Give each group a millilitre (ml) and litre (l) measuring cylinders.
5. Have the students fill each of the container.
6. Have the students estimate the capacity of each container.
7. Have the students measure the liquid in each container to check their estimate.
8. Record the measure.
